On Friday 8th December The Den hosted our ‘Last night of the drums’ band night. It was a fantastic night showcasing the talent and skills of the young people from our weekly Stanley Sound Hub Project.
Since September, The Den has provided subsidised music tuition from expert musicians, providing all of the instruments required to ensure the young people in our area can learn to play drums and guitars and develop their performance skills.
These performance skills were put to the test at our band night, where our young people did an amazing job of performing a 4 song set (plus an encore!) to a packed Den audience! The event was a huge success, with Lana and The Drivers and Shaun Henderson also providing some great entertainment and the Sound Hub Project team putting on an incredible show.
The bar was running and some fabulous raffle prizes were up for grabs, to help The Den raise as much money as possible to keep the Stanley Sound Hub project running.
A huge thank you to our funders for kick starting the project, to all of the volunteers and staff that make sure it runs smoothly and most of all to our talented young people for their hard work! We’re already looking forward to the next one!
