Shining Stars
This year our staff and Young volunteer Task Force came together with various other north east youth organisations and attended NE Youth's projects with pride.
We had a fantastic evening celebrating all of the fantastic achievements and hard work of all of our youth people and enjoyed a showcase of performances and awards.
Social Action of the Year
Our Young Volunteer Task Force were amongst an array of fantastic social action of the year nominees. Each being celebrated for their ongoing hard work and dedication to The Den and other youth organisations. We are incredibly proud of each of our Young Volunteers and can't wait to see them continue to grow and develop into brilliant members of society. We wanted to recognise our Task Force as a whole for their accomplishments here at The Den, from dedicating time to supporting other young people at youth groups, to planning and delivering family fun days for the local community, they truly are the heart of The Den.
Young Volunteer of the Year
This year one of our fantastic Young Volunteers, Kaylem won Young Volunteer of the Year at Projects with Pride for going above and beyond for The Den and the community. Kaylem has continues to go from strength to strength working as part of our Task Force, becoming a natural leader, guiding other Young Volunteers in securing funding for various social action projects, and delivering sessions for young people in the community focusing on mental health and wellbeing. We are incredibly proud of Kaylem and continue to support him along with our other Young Volunteers to reach their goals!
